From each pair donors, one selected for right lower other left lobec tomy. Standard techniques were modified facilitate implantation optimize preservation donor lobes. On side, middle lobe removed discarded first three donors provide an adequate cuff artery bronchus implantation. With increased experience, this proved not be necessary. There have no deaths long-term complications Prolonged postoperative air leaks occurred 3 who underwent lobectomies. All able resume their previous lifestyles.
