摘要: Abstract Long term potentiation (LTP) in dentate gyrus is impaired aged rats, and this has been associated with an age-related decrease membrane arachidonic acid concentration. In study, we considered whether the trigger for might be increased lipid peroxidation stimulated by proinflammatory cytokine, interleukin-1β. Groups of young rats were fed on a control diet or supplemented α-tocopherol assessed their ability to sustain LTP.
