Attitudes to Practice: National Survey of Adoption Obstacles Faced by Gay and Lesbian Prospective Parents

摘要: Gays and lesbians wishing to adopt are challenged with managing policies practices about their right while also trying identify adoption professionals that do not stigmatize against them. In an attempt understand how attitudes toward same-sex couples potentially influence surrounding policies/practices, 187 surveys were sent agencies throughout the United States. Questions posed focused on directors' (a) knowledge of state federal LGs adopting, (b) equal rights for couples, (c) opinions as parents. These variables accounted 42% variance in regards whether or these would accept applications from LGs.
