摘要: Filtration experiments were performed to dewater bentonite slurries at different filtration pressures. The diffusivity of the cake was then determined as a function void ratio using measured rates, final ratios cakes, and theory compressible filtercakes. Any process can, in theory, be predicted, once is known applied pressure. In particular, stage can modeled offers an alternative route determine properties from experimental results. slow approach equilibrium difficult study experimentally; other techniques are therefore preferable. Final stages compaction also markedly slower than predictions based on initial rates. Possible explanations include filtercake rheology that more complicated assumed model or time-dependent effects caused by exclusion ions filtercake, but such appear unsatisfactory. models which permeability depend solely imposed stress, may too simple for some materials.
