摘要: The current study was performed to characterize how improving vastus medialis obliquus (VMO) function influences the pressure applied patellofemoral cartilage. An additional focus characterizing lateral and medial cartilage lesions influence pressures. Ten knees were flexed 40°, 60° 80° in vitro, forces represent VMO other muscles of quadriceps group while a thin film sensor measured joint loaded with normal force, force decreased by approximately 50%, unloaded. After tests intact, all repeated 12 mm diameter lesion created within cartilage, repaired silicone, created. Based on two-way measures ANOVA post-hoc tests, increasing significantly (p < 0.05) maximum increased at each flexion angle. A pressure, did not pressure. Improving can reduce when are present.
