Synthesis of CuO, La2O3, and La2CuO4 by the Thermal-Decomposition of Oxalates Precursors Using a New Method

摘要: A new procedure to prepare oxides materials from oxalates complexes precursors is presented. Detailed description of the method reported, illustrated with examples preparation oxides. solid-solid reaction between oxalic acid and nitrate salt metal leads formation corresponding oxalate. These are used as heated form by thermal-decomposition. This article relates first prepared this method: synthesis copper oxide CuO, hexagonal phase lanthanum La2O3, cuprate La2CuO4. All samples characterized SEM XRD. Thermal analysis TGA DTA show expected thermo-decomposition behavior for both oxalates. study reveals also mechanism La2CuO4 precursor.
