摘要: Large ungulates commonly perform seasonal or annual movements that encompass considerable land area and various habitat types. Effective conservation of these species relies not only on insights their basic ecology, but also an understanding requirements to move across landscapes. To determine the key landscape characteristics endangered takin (Budorcas taxicolor), we systematically surveyed for occurrence in Northern MinShan Mountains, China, during 2010–2011. We then modeled distribution at a regional scale using autologistic regression models, produced predictive map distribution. The results showed probabilities were higher areas with larger range elevation, closer protected areas, farther from townships, more forest coverage. There was overlap between highly suitable network formed by nature reserves originally established conserve giant panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca). A broad elevation gradient essential predicting distributions our suggested should be considered landscape- conservation-dependent species. this study are applicable large throughout mountains bordering Tibetan Plateau broader suite mammals conduct migrations.
