摘要: We tested predictions of the double-strand break repair (DSBR) model for meiotic recombination by examining segregation patterns small palindromic insertions, which frequently escape mismatch when in heteroduplex DNA. The palindromes flanked a well characterized DSB site at ARC4 locus. “canonical” DSBR model, only 5′ ends are degraded and resolution four-stranded intermediate is Holliday junction resolvase, predicts that hDNA will occur on both participating chromatids single event. Tetrads reflecting this configuration were rare. In addition, class tetrads not predicted canonical was identified. This represented events produced “ trans ” configuration, opposite strands same duplex two sides site. Whereas most classes convertant had typical frequencies associated crossovers, with parental flanking markers. Modified versions including one uses topoisomerase to resolve intermediate, supported these data.
