Effects of leptin on fasting-induced inhibition of neuronal nitric oxide synthase mRNA in the paraventricular and supraoptic nuclei of rats

摘要: Fasting induced a reduction in neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS) mRNA the paraventricular nucleus (PVN) and supraoptic (SON) of rats. The effect intracerebroventricular (i.c.v.) administration leptin on nNOS level PVN SON fasting rats was studied by situ hybridization histochemistry. Leptin (10 μg/kg b.wt) or vehicle administered i.c.v. at 1700 h two successive days for 2 days. with significant SON. Central prevented fasting-induced Administration also reductions thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) corticotropin-releasing (CRH) mRNAs parvocellular division PVN.
