摘要: Abstract This work demonstrates a low-cost fabrication method for Electrowetting-on-Dielectric (EWOD) structures microsystem and Lab-on-a-chip applications. The electrowetting effect allows droplet movement by manipulating the surface tension equilibrium in an EWOD system. A voltage-induced imbalance of contact angle (CA) at triple line leads to actuation into direction smaller CA. presented stack consists suitable substrate, electrodes dielectric/hydrophobic layers. Screen printed silver on glass substrates were investigated characterized. Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) slides with top coated Teflon fluoropolymer used as electrical counter electrodes. As application, demonstrator simple optofluidic (OF) switch is simulated terms optical path switching time fabricated using screen setup. incident beam laser light source becomes deflected depending position actuated inside device.
