摘要: Total and extractable trace element contents have been determined in about 1000 soil profiles representing the main series occurring throughout Scotland. The frequency distributions of a number elements these soils are described some relationships between total discussed. geological nature parent material, texture, organic matter content environmental contamination principal factors controlling contents. Soil drainage class, because its effect on mineral weathering oxidation-reduction conditions, has major influence contents, availability to plants crop uptake. Particular attention is paid cobalt, copper molybdenum their importance for animal health
