摘要: The phenomenon of `moment canting`, where the atomic moments in a soft magnetic material do not completely align with an applied field substantial magnitude, has been measured as function annealed Fe78Si9B13 metallic glass ribbons. Probability distributions for Fe moment directions were deduced from unpolarized 57Fe Mossbauer experiments. A method analysis was devised to account spectral saturation effects, and validated reference polycrystalline alpha -Fe. Fields up 0.5 T at room temperature ribbon plane. Even in-plane canting did fall zero, standard deviation Gaussian spread remaining 12 degrees +or-1 . 9 4.2 K, normal appreciable observed, 11 respect direction. An priori `combed hair` model developed describe that would result presence few frustrated exchange interactions between some atoms. Long-distance predicted, truncated inverse sine probability distribution. data found be adequately described using this model.
