摘要: The demand for accurate and efficient simulation of geomechanical effects is widely increasing in the geoscience community. High resolution characterizations mechanical properties subsurface formations are essential improving modeling predictions. Such detailed descriptions impose severe computational challenges motivate development multiscale solution strategies. We propose a framework equilibrium problem heterogeneous porous media based on finite-element method. After imposing coarse-scale grid given fine-scale problem, basis functions obtained by solving local problems within coarse elements. These form restriction prolongation operators used to obtain system displacement-vector. Then, two-stage preconditioner that couples with smoother derived iterative linear system. Various numerical experiments presented demonstrate accuracy robustness
