摘要: Only one of the two chromosomes in asymmetric Caulobacter predivisional cell initiates replication progeny cells. Transcription from a strong promoter within origin occurs uniquely replication-competent chromosome at stalked pole cell. This regulated has an unusual sequence organization, and transcription this is essential for {cell type-specific) replication. Our analysis defines new class bacterial origins suggests coupling between that consistent with phylogenetic relationship to ancestral mitochondrion.
