摘要: This paper describes the initial development of a design guide for jet noise reduction, utilizing NASA/MTC Technologies prediction capabilities baseline and complex suppressor geometries. The idea reduction goes back (at least) to early 1970s, when NASA Lewis Research Center advisors suggested that such product supersonic be deliverable under Supersonic Transport Noise Reduction Technology Program, conducted by General Electric Department Transportation. “Design Guide,” was much greater challenge than recognized at time, intended does not yet exist. Design Guide discussed herein is useful analytical computer tool, just compilation information. It also “living” subject improvements introduced as justified traceably documented.
