摘要: Xeroderma pigmentosum group B and D genes (XPB XPD respectively) are components of the transcription factor IIH (TFIIH), a nine-subunit complex involved in initiation by RNA polymerase II (pol II). Five these (XPB, p62, p52, p44 p34) form tight core subcomplex, while is less tightly associated with mediates binding CAK containing remaining three subunits, cyclin H, cdk7 MAT1.1,2 The TFIIH also plays key role nucleotide excision repair (NER) opening duplex DNA at damage site. Both XPB possess helicase activities, though functions 3′ → 5′ fashion,3 catalyzes unwinding opposite direction.2 DNA-dependent activity central to function both NER.
