摘要: The purpose of this study was to clarify the involvement CD4+ and CD8+ T cells on bone resorption induced by Escherichia coli endotoxin. Two kinds monoclonal antibodies, anti-CD4 and/or anti-CD8, were employed for depletion each or both cell subsets. E. endotoxin injected into mouse mesial gingiva first molar left mandible every 48 hours up 14 days (7 injections). mice divided four groups: CD4-depleted, CD8-depleted, cell-depleted, normal. sacrificed day after 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th injection alveolar examined histopathologically histomorphometrically. Bone surface in contact with osteoclasts defined as site active ratios compared among groups. In addition, sections obtained immunohistologically stained order confirm presence absence cells. Alveolar gradually increased normal number injections increased. contrast, significantly weaker subset-depleted mice. For duration experimental period, CD8-depleted increasing resorption. Considering function cells, these results suggest that subset preferentially acts a macrophage activator early period
