摘要: The current emphasis on DNA technology in forensic science has led many to believe that trace evidence examinations, including fibers, may be of little value. Reasons are given here show this is an erroneous assumption. In the face situation, fibers examiners have been challenged consider ways which they can improve services offer Criminal Justice System not only by increasing efficiency but also expressing evidential value findings a clearer way. separate stages within casework from collection report writing critically examined. Suggestions made how improvements achieved. Areas where particular progress include improving communication and exchange information between investigator scientist streamlining analysis using latest equipment conjunction with effective case management. addition, making better use existing data pertaining fiber frequencies, accumulating new resources working groups, training procedures respect interpretation discussed.
