Decision-making patterns and postdecision adjustment of childfree husbands and wives

摘要: The processes by which married couples come to the decision have no children and mechanisms they employ in reaction pronatalist pressures were explored interviews with 44 childfree husbands wives. Two characteristic paths of decision-making identified, Independent Negotiated, further categorization on basis degree influence exerted each spouse was proposed. Several employed counter including defense lifestyle, devaluation parenthood status denigration parents, avoidance company. Implications these findings for study marriages are discussed.
