Electron-Capture and Loss Cross Sections for Fast, Heavy Particles Passing through Gases

摘要: Electron-capture and loss cross sections as functions of projectile velocity energy are presented graphically for six gaseous twelve metallic, fast, singly-charged ions (in some cases, neutral atoms multiply-charged also included) in collision with nitrogen, oxygen, neon, argon, atomic oxygen. The lowest is 30 eV, while the highest 4 MeV.
