摘要: We analyse two comprehensive transcriptome datasets from human tissues and human-derived cell lines in terms of the expression profiles SLC ABC families membrane transporters. The Gini index (coefficient) characterises inequalities distributions, is used a novel way to describe distribution each transporter among different lines. In many cases, transporters exhibit extremely high coefficients, even when their supposed substrates might be expected available all tissues, indicating much higher degree specialisation than usually assumed. This consistent with divergent evolution more restricted set ancestors. Similar trends hold true for lines, suggesting that largely similar transport behaviour tissues. By contrast, coefficients tend larger implying some kind selection process has taken place. particular, exceptions such as olfactory receptors genes involved keratin production, are significantly heterogeneously expressed most non-transporter genes. also allows us determine those transcripts stable expression; these often differ ‘housekeeping’ commonly normalisation transcriptomics qPCR studies. lowest four FAM32A, ABCB7, MRPL21 PCBP1, while three SF3B2, NXF1 RBM45. PCBP1 both reasonably highly low coefficient an excellent housekeeping gene. Overall, our analyses provide opportunities genome-wide profiling data.
