摘要: The type I ELMy H-mode is the baseline operating scenario for ITER. While it known that ELM ultimately results from peeling-ballooning instability, there growing experimental evidence a mode grows up before crash may modify edge plasma, which then leads to event due mode. triggered in release of large number particles and energy core plasma but precise mechanism by these losses occur still not fully understood hence makes predictions future devices uncertain. Our current understanding processes trigger ELMs size resultant loss are reviewed compared data ideas further development discussed.
