摘要: This chapter was written to clarify the basics of problem or pathological gambling (PG) as an idea and also establish its existence. Controversies over reality mental disorders are especially poignant when behavioral addictions at issue. We discuss evidence for PG based upon harm, prevalence, relationship other psychiatric disorders. Assorted definitions gambling, along with issues pertaining subtypes etiology, discussed intention identifying controversies well providing much clarity possible. Comparisons substance addiction, obsessive–compulsive disorder, impulse control disorder made, both help identify PG’s place in nosology highlight conceptual difficulties that would haunt us regardless which designations we favor. Above all, argue is a even if it cannot be defined explained everyone’s satisfaction.
