Location-based distributed caching for device-to-device communications underlaying cellular networks

摘要: Device-to-device D2D communications have been viewed as a promising data offloading solution in cellular networks because of the explosive growth multimedia applications. Because nature distributed device location, caching becomes an important function communications. By taking advantage capacity device, this work, we explore storage and file frequent reuse to realize content dissemination, that is, storing contents mobile devices named helpers. Specifically, first investigate average lower bound helper amount by dividing network into small areas where nodes are within each other's communication radius. Then, optimal is derived based on topology. Subsequently, location-based selection scheme for proposed given amount. In particular, selected helpers according their locations degrees, placed manner maximizing total user utility.
