摘要: ABSTRACT Background The authors conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to compare the long-term clinical radiographic success of using mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) formocresol (FC) as pulp-dressing material in pulpotomy treatment primary molars. Types Studies Reviewed searched MEDLINE, Thomson Reuters Web Science Coch-rane Central Register Controlled Trials for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) published from Jan. 1, 1990, May 9, 2013. For an RCT be included, required that molars treated with procedure must have received stainless steel crowns final restoration rubber dam isolation was used during treatment; pulp been vital determined clinically by means hemorrhage control cotton pellet; included follow-up period at least two years. each RCT, assessed risk bias independently. Results identified 20 five them. A total 377 were treated. judged none RCTs had low bias. They noted no significant differences (relative [RR] = 1.01; 95 percent confidence interval [CI], 0.98-1.05) (RR 1.09; CI, 0.97-1.21) MTA versus those FC. Practical Implications On basis limited evidence, procedures performed involving use or FC showed comparable rates.
