摘要: The prognosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is poor with disease progression. Cadmium exposure a risk factor for NPC. We aimed to investigate the effect cadmium exposure, by measuring level, and clinicopathologic factors on NPC progression prognosis. A total 134 cases were analyzed venous blood samples collected. Blood level was graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Clinical data collected at baseline patients tumor characteristics from medical records. Progression-free survival (PFS) during follow-up. clinical PFS Kaplan-Meier method Cox regression models. associated history smoking pack-years. On analysis, high male sex, increasing pack-years, as well advanced stage all short PFS. multivariate an independent predictor related can affect NPC, which merits further study clarify.
