摘要: State forest administrations in Central Europe have to adapt future climatic and socioeconomic conditions. This results new demands for up-to-date precise information—especially with regard the increase of damages by natural hazards. Remote Sensing techniques are appropriated delivering information support such tasks. We present details a research project that focuses on demonstration potential satellite data management planning disaster management. Integrated over-all concept decision system (DSS) forest–wood chain (Entscheidungs-Unterstutzungs-System Forst-Holz, EUS-FH), frame conditions ‘Remote based Inventory Monitoring System’ forest-wood developed. Particular focus is investigations towards synergistic complementary use two German systems RapidEye Terra SAR-X. The comparison done base accuracy parameter derivation each systems. deliver couple arguments combined multispectral SAR monitoring fast response situations case sudden calamities. But it reveals as well references against should be compared and, at end, which represents layers updated, do not always fit from both, semantic meaning e.g., definition ‘forest’ cartographic differences, representation object categories. Harmonisation definitions categories mapped needed.
