Use and acceptability of salivary hepatitis C virus testing in an English Young Offender Institution

摘要: People held in prison are at a high risk of having hepatitis C virus (HCV) and there is public health drive the UK to increase HCV testing prisons Young Offender Institutions (YOIs), with opt-out testing. There an oral antibody test for HCV; this project aims determine its acceptability English YOI setting. This offered point-of-care (POCT) using OraQuick® 107 male young offenders attending sexual service YOI, monitoring positivity evaluating acceptability.
