摘要: Second messenger systems provide incredibly powerful and specific ways for stimuli to be transformed from merely electrical biochemical processes into stable, long-lasting, memory-specific neuronal representations. This chapter focuses on the in which neurons use second systems, with particular emphasis calcium cAMP, order localized, amplified, responses stimuli. The family of adenylyl cyclases, includes calcium-sensitive participate enzymatically convergence these two messengers, resulting downstream changes that precipitate long-lasting configurations.
