摘要: Conduction in Normal and C×43+/− Mice. Introduction: Gap junction channels are important determinants of conduction the heart may play a central role development lethal cardiac arrhythmias. The recent C×43-deficient mouse has raised fundamental questions about specific connexin isoforms intercellular communication heart. Although homozygous null mutation C×43 gene (C×43−/−) is lethal, heterozygous (Cx43+/−) animals survive to adulthood. Reports on electrophysiologic phenotype mice contradictory. Thus, effects single allele require reevaluation. Methods Results: High-resolution video mapping techniques were used study propagation hearts from littermate control (C×43+/+) mice. Local velocities (CVs) patterns quantitatively measured by determining vectors. We undertook characterization ECG parameters epicardial CVs normal Cx43+/− hearts. measurements obtained 12 C×43+/+ 6 age matched did not show differences any parameter, including QRS duration (14.5 ± 0.9 15.7 2.3 msec for C×43+/−, respectively). In addition, using sensitive method detecting changes local CV, images wave revealed similar activation both groups mice. Conclusion: A that accurately measures throughout ventricles no mice, which consistent with demonstration parameter values same as those wild-type
