Ligand Field Theory Formulation of the Optical and Magnetic Properties of U2 Centres in the Alkali Halides

摘要: It is shown that a better theoretical formulation of the properties U2 centre in alkali halides given terms ligand field theory rather than approach usually adopted, which consists an application techniques employed by Gourary and Adrian [5] their F-centre calculations. The general features present are discussed relation to experiment, future experimental investigations suggested should enable finer details concerning validity usefulness be elucidated. Es wird gezeigt, das gegenuber dem gewohnlich angenommenen Verfahren, aus der Anwendung von bei ihren Berechnungen F-Zentren ver-wendeten Technik besteht, mit Ligandenfeldtheorie eine bessere theoretische Formulierung Eigenschaften U2-Zentren den Alkalihalogeniden angegeben werden kann. Die allgemeinen Zuge vorgelegten bezug auf die Experimente diskutiert und weitere experimentelle Untersuchungen angeregt, Erkennung feinerer Details uber Zuverlassigkeit Anwendbarkeit Behandlung ermoglichen sollen.
