摘要: In foundry practice, ultrasonic treatment has been used as an efficient technique to achieve grain refinement in aluminium and magnesium alloys. This article shows the strong effect of pouring temperature at various temperatures on Al-1 wt% Mg-0.3 Sc alloy. Without treatment, a fine structure was obtained 700 °C. The average size sharply decreases from 487 ± 20 103 2 μm when 800 Ultrasonic vibration proved be potential with wide range temperature. A microstructure very homogeneous grains by applying melt between 740 °C, before pouring. Cavitation-enhanced heterogeneous nucleation is mechanism proposed explain ultrasound this Moreover, found lead cast samples hardness values similar those submitted precipitation hardening, suggesting that can avoid carrying out heat parts.
