摘要: BackgroundSelf-harm in custody is a well-researched phenomenon. This particularly true for women prison who demonstrate disproportionately high rates of self-harm. Despite the growing body research, there has been lack service user involvement (SUI).AimsTo outline first use SUI custodial setting developing care pathways self-harm.MethodologyA participatory action research approach was used to engage prisoners and staff.ResultsParticipants were able identify strengths weaknesses current offer suggestions development based upon their experience receiving delivering care.ConclusionThe authors conclude that despite approaches being infancy prisons engagement users when aimed at effecting positive change can be successful.
