摘要: A boundary layer model is developed to analyze diffusion through a laminar falling film for incomplete penetration of the dissolved gas. Regarding rather intractable nature problem, Kantorovich Integral Method chosen. Accordingly, mass transfer assumed keep growing perpendicularly until it hits wall. Such an approach superior its preceding artworks based on Higbie’s theory in terms implementation more realistic conditions/modeling assumptions. Furthermore, unlike model, this gives criterion whether complete. Comparing two models, estimates up 2.3 % larger coefficients. Moreover, sensitivity analysis liquid velocity distribution upon Sherwood number conducted. It found that local at gas–liquid interface highest dominance. Experimental data SO2 absorption water reported literature exploited validate model. shown better fits experimental data.
