摘要: Abstract An essentially model-independent method is presented which allows the extraction of spin and mixing ratio values from measurements γ-ray excitation functions angular distributions following heavy-ion induced reactions. The critical assumption that initial state observed be fairly well aligned, as has been found to case in all reactions studied so far. analysis proceeds down cascade ground takes into account contribution due side feeding. actual form magnetic substrate distribution not important although a Gaussian with width σ =1.0–2.0 used since it appears have reasonable physical basis. It pointed out “typical” stretched quadrupole transition cascades may also fitted by dipole-quadrupole mixtures. In past, this point largely ignored assigning spins over 300 states heavier mass region.
