摘要: Gardenia jasminoides is used in traditional Chinese medicine and has drawn attention as a rich source of crocin, compound with reported activity against various cancers, depression cardiovascular disease. However, genetic information on the crocin biosynthetic pathway G. scarce. In this study, we performed transcriptome analysis leaves, green fruits red to identify predict genes that encode key enzymes responsible for production, compared Crocus sativus. Twenty-seven putative were specifically expressed fruits, consistent distribution jasminoides. Twenty-four these first time, novel CCD4a gene was predictedthat encodes carotenoid cleavage dioxygenaseleading synthesis, contrast CCD2 addition, 6 other candidate (ALDH12, ALDH14, UGT94U1, UGT86D1, UGT71H4 UGT85K18) predicted be involved biosynthesis following phylogenetic different expression profiles. Identifying should help elucidate pathway.
