摘要: Helicobacter pylori gastric infection has been associated with various digestive and extradigestive diseases. In liver disease bacterial infections have impairment of cytochrome P-450 metabolic activity. Moreover, by spp. seems to be linked the development hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in mice. Our aims were evaluate influence H. on activity as assessed means monoethylglycinexylidide (MEGX) test assess prevalence patients HCC. Ninety-six hepatitis C virus (HCV) -positive cirrhotic patients, 36 whom had HCC, tested for anti-H. IgG. Patients underwent MEGX test. Characteristics then analyzed basis presence infection. Seroprevalence was similar between without (68%) or (63.8%) Mean values significantly (P < 0.0001) lower infected (18.2±13.9 ng/ml) compared noninfected ones (46.9±17.1 ng/ml), independently Child-Pugh's classification. These differences persisted even after subdividing according conclusion, anti-HCV positive is an HCC that observed tumor-free cirrhotics.
