摘要: OBJECTIVE: Youths with conduct disorder extract an inordinate amount of time and money from the U.S. judicial system taxpayers, yet studies pertaining to this population have been few. This study was undertaken examine co-occurrence personality disorders in a group incarcerated children adolescents raise issue possibility antisocial persons under age 18 years. METHOD: One hundred juvenile offenders aged 11-17 years were randomly selected then interviewed Diagnostic Interview for Children Adolescents--Revised Structured Clinical DSM-III-R Personality Disorders establish their psychiatric diagnoses. RESULTS: Eighty-seven percent met criteria disorder. Among those diagnosed as having disorder, only comorbid that present significant frequency The other diagnoses appeared most frequently borderline, narcissistic, paranoid, passive-aggressive, dependent types. Borderline observed more females than males CONCLUSIONS: findings suggest by using adult disorders, one finds considerable number young also show youths manifest signs before they are age, raising question how should be incorporated into diagnosis DSM-IV is being prepared.
