摘要: Abstract The process characteristics of the synergic cold metal transfer (CMT) have been examined for welding aluminium alloy. Utilising a simple backlighting system and through arc monitoring droplet modes were identified. Whilst modified short circuit mode was evident lower parameter range, two part based upon combination spray observed mid to upper range. technology also explored as cladding applying ternary alloyed (Al–Cu–Mg) plate. This alloy is known be susceptible solidification cracking when MIG welded using binary Al-2319 (Al–Cu) filler wire, this being due wide element freezing range weld resulting from mixing with base material. filler, dilution ratios both CMT pulsed identified across exhibited greater control that enabled deposition quasi-binary layer exhibiting less crack composition. Onto conventional could applied which potentially eradicate wire.
