摘要: Exercise is underutilized in the battle against cardiovascular disease (CVD) for both nondisabled and spinal cord—injured (SCI) populations. The American College of Sports Medicine Heart Association have launched Medicine™ initiative to facilitate widespread adoption exercise as a practical treatment option by increasing awareness providing structured guidance. We review initiative, current recommendations nondisabled, supporting evidence SCI population, appropriate SCI-related alterations prescription. Finally, we provide resources prescription process persons with SCI.
