摘要: Transposable elements have been useful in the identification and cloning of genes that were previously inaccessible by other methods. In maize, three transposable element systems utilized for transposon tagging: Activator/Dissociation, Suppressormutator (Enhancer/Inhibitor), Robertson’s Mutator. Each system has inherent advantages disadvantages, choice depends on tagging approach taken, genomic position expression gene sought, as well stocks available tagging.
