摘要: We evaluated efficacy and mechanisms of the antiarrhythmic action verapamil in 20 patients with sustained supraventricular tachycardia. Two had sinus nodal re-entrant tachycardia, nine atrioventricular (AV) AV reciprocating tachycardia associated Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome. The study design comprised a double-blind, randomized, cross-over phase using 0.075 mg/kg dose versus placebo an open-label 0.15 verapamil. overall results both phases showed that 15 19 converted to rhythm while only one 16 placebo. effective plasma concentration measured 123 +/- 40 ng/mL (mean SD). Verapamil suppressed re-entry but exerted no selective depression between fast slow pathways. It significant effect on accessory bypass tract was terminating by its depressive node.
