摘要: Suction embedded plate anchors have been increasingly applied in deepwater projects because of their efficiency and limited cost. Current industry practice equips the fluke anchor with an outwardly rotating keying flap aiming at a reduction loss embedment during keying. However, recent experimental numerical research has questioned currently used it demonstrated that does not open as was intended. This paper presents two-dimensional plain strain large deformation finite-element analysis by assuming soil homogenous to investigate performance equipped various designs. The results agree previous centrifuge no effect on bearing capacity postkeying. alternative design where is inward also discussed. new effectively reduces exhibits higher than current design.
