摘要: The goal of targeted therapy is to kill cells bearing specific receptors. This in contradistinction cytotoxic chemotherapy, which depends on biochemical differences between normal and target cells. Many types malignant cells, including those resistant display unique proteins the cell surface, making such potentially sensitive therapy. Unlike small chemotherapeutic agents, enter by passing though membrane, must through receptors or antigens surface. Because sites number only thousands per cell, agent be extremely potent. Typically, protein toxins are used since they catalytic mechanisms.
