The impact of elevated blood lead levels in children on maternal health-related quality of life.

摘要: Kabwe is a mining town in Zambia that has been ranked among "the ten most polluted places the world" with previous findings of serious lead (Pb) pollution. In this study, we aim to examine impact childhood Pb poisoning on health-related quality life (HRQoL) mothers Kabwe. The HRQoL was assessed using Short-Form 36 survey for 404 coming from residences 40 randomly selected standard enumeration areas (SEAs). Blood levels (BLLs) household members including themselves were measured. We found significant positive correlation between BLLs and their children (R = 0.6385, p < 0.0001), while preschool-aged school-aged significantly higher than those fathers. Using data sets containing members, age mothers, income, SEA, performed stepwise multiple linear regression analyses. results showed negative associations representative BLL vitality mental health scores mothers.
