摘要: Adhesion of platelets to the subendothelial matrix an injured vessel wall is essential step in triggering formation a haemostatic plug. Fibronectin, collagen and laminin are three major components which support platelet adhesion. Receptors for fibronectin have been identified on included integrin family. Here we report that adhesion inhibited by rat monoclonal antibody against family member, VLA-6. This does not affect fibrinogen, or type I III collagen. Binding require activation cell-attachment peptides. Platelet supported Mn2+, Co2+ Mg2+, but Ca2+, Zn2+ Cu2+. cation preference distinct from characteristic other platelet-adhesive glycoproteins.
