摘要: Abstract The competition between Ulva rigida and the seagrass Zostera marina is described by means of a mathematical model. two species compete for light nitrogen dissolved in water. Nitrogen uptake Z. from sediments washing out U. advective transport are accounted Simulation results, terms biomass presence marina, compared with available data. At 18 sample points 80, experimental observations do not agree calculated In these cases model slightly underestimates standing crop, probably due to an accumulation process only four stations 80 does predicted presence/absence disagree observations. Model behaviour shows that structure primary producers community strongly influenced availability water velocity key point macroalgae-seagrass interaction.
