摘要: An extensive and year-round survey was conducted to assess metal pollution in vast watershed areas of the Selenga River Basin (2007–2009), which provided baseline heavy database for future management. Sources environmental hazard risk indices associated with were evidenced across countries Mongolia Russia (Buryatia Republic). In general, concentrations metals river water greater than those Russia, expect upstream Dzhida Russia. The spatial distribution generally indicated that mainly activities Mongolian regions. Similar sources between wastewater surrounding found industrial mining areas. Compositional patterns suggested their independent each other, hot spots certain sites. Our measurements about 63 % locations surveyed (48 76) exceeded critical index 100, identifying possible harmful effects on aquatic ecosystems through pollution. Zinc be chemical priority concern, as more half corresponding quality guideline. Other including Mn, Fe, Cr, Cu, As might problematic considering occurrence concentrations. Results our during period 3 years urgent action would necessary timely manner improve mitigate impact environment Basin.
