摘要: Abstract Background This study was designed to determine whether or not older trauma patients on clopidogrel have an increased risk of morbidity and mortality. Methods A retrospective review performed all ≥50 years age between January 1, 2002, August 31, 2005. The charts those who had documented preinjury use were further reviewed. control group with no history matched for age, sex, mechanism injury, injury severity score. Results During this time period, there 1,020 admitted, 43 which (P). higher percentage in the P underwent cranial surgery, episodes rebleeds, required transfusions blood products than group. mortality length stay comparable both groups. Conclusion indicates that may cause significant closed-head injuries. Further studies are needed suggest specific treatment modalities.
