Local structure and polaron formation in La1−xCaxMnO3

摘要: Abstract The local structure of La1−xCaxMnO3 is determined from pair-distribution function (PDF) analysis pulsed neutron diffraction. We have compared the effect on crossing metal-insulator transition as a temperature and composition. Crossing boundary at low by varying composition yields similar distortions to those seen in dependence indicating presence polarons insulating phase which disappear metallic phase.
